EdgeMode inks collaboration pact with Supermicro and Krambu to scale sustainable AI data centers

EdgeMode (USOTC:EDGM) said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with server technology group Supermicro and data-center infrastructure specialist Krambu as it looks to accelerate the rollout of large-scale, energy-efficient AI data centers.

The agreement sets out a strategic framework under which the three companies will work together on the supply, design and deployment of high-density AI computing infrastructure across EdgeMode’s growing data-center portfolio. The focus is on combining advanced compute performance with sustainability-driven design, including liquid cooling and renewable energy integration.

Under the MOU, the partners will assess a coordinated model for delivering server and GPU infrastructure at scale. Supermicro will contribute its high-performance, energy-efficient compute platforms, while Krambu will provide infrastructure design, delivery and sustainability expertise. EdgeMode will act as developer, purchaser and operator, integrating the technology into its expanding AI-focused footprint.

The collaboration is centered on supporting EdgeMode’s planned 1.5-gigawatt portfolio of AI-ready data centers across five strategic sites, each designed for high-density workloads and renewable energy use.

As part of the partnership:

  • Supermicro will supply end-to-end AI compute solutions, covering system design, architecture, software integration and technical support.
  • Krambu will serve as the front-end infrastructure partner, coordinating procurement, installation and customer-facing services through its relationships with Supermicro and NVIDIA, while leading sustainable design initiatives such as direct-to-chip liquid cooling, waste-heat recovery and industrial symbiosis.
  • EdgeMode will integrate the hardware into its hyperscale developments, operating and scaling the sites to meet growing AI demand.

The companies said they will also explore ways to capture and reuse waste heat from data centers for agricultural, industrial and residential applications, aligning with broader efforts to reduce carbon intensity and promote circular infrastructure models.

“This collaboration strengthens EdgeMode’s ability to deliver world-class, energy-efficient AI compute at unmatched scale,” said Charlie Faulkner, CEO of EdgeMode. “Supermicro’s technology leadership and Krambu’s infrastructure and sustainability expertise create a powerful foundation for deploying the next generation of AI-optimised data centers.”

Krambu CEO Steven Wood said the partnership goes beyond traditional data-center development. “We see AI infrastructure as an opportunity to do more than deploy compute—it’s about creating systems that deliver value beyond the data center walls,” he said. “EdgeMode’s renewable energy generation combined with Supermicro’s complete AI compute solutions gives us the foundation, and our industrial symbiosis approach ensures every watt generates value. This is what optimized, responsible AI infrastructure looks like at scale.”

The MOU is non-exclusive and outlines the structure for further collaboration. The companies said they will continue working toward a definitive agreement and detailed implementation plans, with no binding commitments beyond standard legal and confidentiality provisions at this stage.

EdgeMode develops AI-ready data center campuses alongside integrated energy infrastructure in key global markets, targeting demand from AI and high-performance computing users. Krambu specializes in sustainable, high-density data center solutions, with a focus on liquid cooling, grid integration and repurposing existing industrial sites.
