Shares of Voyager Technologies (NYSE:VOYG) rose about 5% in premarket trading on Thursday after the company said it has secured a renewed contract with NASA tied to the Create Hardware (HUNCH) program.
Under the renewed agreement, the Denver-based group will continue its five-year collaboration with the HUNCH initiative, which gives high school students hands-on exposure to designing and manufacturing hardware used in NASA missions, including applications for the International Space Station. Voyager will continue to provide engineering expertise and program management, helping bridge student-developed innovations with real-world operational needs.
The contract renewal reinforces Voyager’s role in supporting space station activities while also contributing to long-term workforce development across the aerospace industry. The company said insights gained from its work on ISS operations help shape the way it designs and operates next-generation platforms such as Starlab.
HUNCH is designed to build a pipeline of skilled engineers, technicians and operators for civil, commercial and national security space missions. For Voyager, the program also supports its broader mission-management capabilities, ensuring continuity between current ISS support and future commercial space station projects.
Matt Magaña, president of Space, Defense & National Security at Voyager, said that “HUNCH strengthens the aerospace workforce while delivering real, mission-ready outcomes for spaceflight.”
