Meta Platforms Appoints Dina Powell McCormick as President

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) said on Monday that it has named Dina Powell McCormick as president and vice chair, marking a notable shift in the company’s senior leadership.

The announcement comes only weeks after Powell McCormick stepped down from Meta’s board of directors, moving from a non-executive role into one of the company’s top management positions.

Powell McCormick brings a blend of public- and private-sector experience to the role. She spent 16 years in senior positions at Goldman Sachs and previously served as deputy national security adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump during his first term.

Her transition from the boardroom to the presidency underscores a significant change in leadership structure at the social media and technology group.
