Willdan Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:WLDN) announced that it has been selected by Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) in California to deliver a $49 million distributed energy and resiliency project under a new energy services agreement. The project will include the full turnkey deployment of distributed energy resources along with campus infrastructure upgrades, with construction expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2027.
The scope of work covers installation of solar photovoltaic systems, a battery energy storage solution, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and a redesigned parking lot aimed at improving energy efficiency and campus functionality.
Willdan noted that it is recognized as a qualified energy service company in California and operates under a Master Services Agreement with the Foundation for California Community Colleges. This agreement enables the company to implement distributed energy resource (DER) projects across California Community Colleges, including Mt. SAC, as well as other public-sector facilities throughout the state.
