VCI Global Limited (NASDAQ:VCIG) shares surged 40% on Tuesday after the company announced that its subsidiary V Gallant had launched Malaysia’s first AI GPU Computing Center powered by NVIDIA technology, alongside the rollout of its Intelli-X Enterprise LLM platform.
The new facility began operations on Monday, positioning VCI Global as an early entrant in the region’s AI computing infrastructure market. The center is designed to provide artificial intelligence processing capacity for government agencies, enterprises, and small and medium-sized businesses while supporting data governance and regulatory compliance requirements.
According to the company, Malaysia’s investment in artificial intelligence and data center infrastructure is expected to surpass $40 billion by 2030. AI-related initiatives could contribute more than $115 billion to the country’s GDP by that time, based on projections from InvestKL and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority.
Through the new center, V Gallant aims to activate multiple revenue streams, including enterprise-level large language model (LLM) training and fine-tuning, execution of high-performance AI workloads, and hybrid AI infrastructure supported by SaaS-based monetization. The company plans to offer GPU computing leasing, subscription access to its Enterprise LLM platform, and localized AI solutions for regulated industries.
The Intelli-X platform features a zero-access private LLM architecture designed for government and enterprise clients. Its capabilities include secure document intelligence, predictive analytics, workflow automation, and proprietary data fine-tuning.
To expand its ecosystem and accelerate adoption, V Gallant signed memorandums of understanding with Khalifa Intelligence, UCSI College, and Favoriot. These agreements aim to support market expansion, talent development, and deployment of AI solutions.
“By combining GPU compute infrastructure with our Intelli-X enterprise platform and strategic ecosystem partnerships, we are building a scalable AI commercialization engine designed to generate recurring revenue while supporting Malaysia’s long-term digital economy growth,” said Dr. Chan Wai Mun, Chief AI & Data Officer of VCI Global.
VCI Global is a diversified holding company that is shifting its strategic focus toward AI-driven infrastructure and software solutions.
