Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN) said construction has resumed on its Wynn Al Marjan Island resort in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, after work on the project was briefly paused.
The company said it remains in close contact with authorities in both the United States and the United Arab Emirates to guide decisions related to the development. Safety and security protocols have also been reinforced for personnel working at the construction site.
Wynn added that its design and development teams continue to supervise architectural, construction and design activities for the resort. At the same time, the company’s executive leadership is advancing operational planning and broader strategy for the property.
Employees involved in the project have also been given the option to work outside the country if advised by their respective embassies.
The company said it remains confident in the UAE’s defense capabilities and noted that everyday business activity continues normally for much of the local population. Wynn said it will keep monitoring the situation and evaluate any further potential impacts on the project as circumstances evolve.
