Peloton Interactive Inc. (NASDAQ:PTON) has named Sarah Robb O’Hagan as its new Chief Content and Member Development Officer, effective April 1. She will report directly to CEO and President Peter Stern and will be responsible for leading content strategy, innovation and member engagement as the company shifts its focus from connected fitness toward a broader connected wellness model.
Robb O’Hagan brings around 30 years of experience across technology, sports, health and fitness industries. Her career includes leadership roles at companies such as Nike, Gatorade, Equinox, Flywheel Sports and Strava. Most recently, she served as CEO of EXOS, a human performance coaching company, where she oversaw the transition from a primarily physical services model to a digital coaching platform.
During her time as President of Gatorade, Robb O’Hagan led a turnaround of the $5 billion business through product innovation and the launch of new offerings. At Equinox, where she served as President, she helped drive the company’s technology and content transformation while developing integrated strategies to strengthen member engagement. She has also been recognized by Fast Company as one of the “Most Creative People in Business” and by Forbes as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Sports.”
“Sarah is a visionary leader and champion of the Member experience who is uniquely equipped to lead Peloton’s content and community as we aim to capture more of the $7 trillion global wellness market,” Stern said.
Robb O’Hagan will replace current Chief Content Officer Jen Cotter, who is stepping down after seven years with the company. Cotter will remain with Peloton as an advisor through mid-August to help ensure a smooth leadership transition.
According to the company, the appointment is part of Peloton’s broader multi-year strategy to reshape its business model and support a return to sustainable and profitable revenue growth.
