Honeywell (NASDAQ:HON) said it has entered into a supplier framework agreement with the U.S. Department of War aimed at expanding production of key defense technologies, supported by a $500 million multi-year investment to enhance manufacturing capacity.
As part of the agreement, Honeywell Aerospace will boost output of navigation systems, Assure actuators and electronic warfare technologies. The navigation systems are used in precision-guided munitions, while Assure actuators help provide maneuverability for interceptor and tactical missile systems. The electronic warfare solutions are designed for use on U.S. military platforms including fighter aircraft and AMRAAM missiles.
“Honeywell Aerospace is proud to embrace the challenge and meet this urgent need,” said Jim Currier, president and CEO of Honeywell Aerospace. “Our commercial operating system enables us to invest in advanced technologies and manufacture at scale and speed, delivering a substantial and enduring benefit to the customer and taxpayers.”
According to the company, Honeywell Aerospace is among the first Tier 1 suppliers to sign this type of framework agreement with the Department of War.
The announcement was made on March 25, 2026, from Honeywell’s Phoenix location. Honeywell Aerospace develops products and services for commercial aviation, defense and space programs, including aircraft engines, cockpit electronics, thermal systems and other aerospace technologies.
