AmpliTech Group Shares Jump After FCC Approval for 5G System (AMPG)

AmpliTech Group Inc. (NASDAQ:AMPG) shares climbed 14% in premarket trading Wednesday after the company announced it had secured full certifications from both the Federal Communications Commission and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada for its 5G Native Distributed Antenna System Solution.

The approvals cover the company’s complete hardware portfolio, including its 5G Pico Radio, AC and DC Mother Hubs, and high-density Cascading Hubs.

Certifications Clear System for Commercial Deployment

With regulatory approvals now in place in both the United States and Canada, AmpliTech said the system is approved for immediate commercial sales, shipping, and integration into networks throughout North America.

The company noted that the certifications confirm the platform meets required safety and operational performance standards, allowing wireless carriers, enterprise clients, and government organizations to move forward with installations.

AmpliTech added that the certified system is designed to simplify deployments while improving compatibility across various network environments.

Company Targets Fixed Wireless and Private 5G Markets

The company said its technology is positioned to address growing demand in the Fixed Wireless Access market, where network operators are increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional fiber infrastructure.

According to AmpliTech, the Pico Radio is engineered to deliver strong data speeds and extended coverage while maintaining low power consumption.

When combined with the company’s Mother Hubs and Cascading Hubs, the system enables operators to extend 5G connectivity across distances spanning thousands of feet.

The Native DAS platform is also intended for Private 5G deployments across sectors including smart manufacturing, logistics hubs, military facilities, and healthcare campuses.

The system additionally supports Open RAN interoperability within a single-vendor architecture.

Company Expects Commercial Rollout to Accelerate

CEO and CTO Fawad Maqbool said the approvals in both countries provide the company’s engineering, sales, and integration teams with the ability to immediately begin deploying full-scale 5G networks.

He also stated that AmpliTech has already received product orders from a North American mobile network operator customer, with shipments expected to begin later this year.
