Aurora Mobile shares rise after returning to profitability and growing revenue (JG)

Aurora Mobile (NASDAQ:JG) reported first-quarter fiscal 2026 results on Tuesday that showed renewed profitability alongside continued revenue growth.

The company’s shares gained 4.27% in premarket trading following the earnings release.

Revenue increases as company returns to profit

For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, Aurora Mobile posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.00, improving from an adjusted loss of $0.02 in the same quarter last year.

Revenue rose 5% year-over-year to $13.5 million from $12.9 million.

The company also recorded net income of $0.2 million, compared with a net loss of $0.2 million in the prior-year period, marking Aurora Mobile’s fourth consecutive profitable quarter.

Developer Services business drives growth

Aurora Mobile said operational performance continued to improve during the quarter.

Revenue from the company’s Developer Services segment increased 15% year-over-year, while its Core Developer Subscription Service achieved a record high revenue level of $9.4 million.

That growth was partially offset by a 19% decline in revenue from the Vertical Applications business.

Margins and EBITDA improve

Gross profit increased 13% year-over-year to $9.6 million.

Gross margin expanded to 71.0%, up from 66.1% in the first quarter of fiscal 2025.

Adjusted EBITDA rose to $0.4 million, compared with $0.1 million during the same period a year earlier.

CEO highlights fourth straight profitable quarter

“We had a great start to financial year 2026,” said Weidong Luo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “In Q1 of 2026, we achieved another GAAP net profit quarter, marking our fourth consecutive profitable quarter.”

EngageLab growth accelerates

The company also highlighted strong momentum at EngageLab, where Annual Recurring Revenue for March 2026 reached $11.7 million, representing growth of 172% year-over-year.

Aurora Mobile said the Net Dollar Retention Rate for its core Developer Subscription business stood at 103%.

Cash position declines modestly

As of March 31, 2026, the company held $20.6 million in cash, cash equivalents, restricted cash and short-term investments, down from $25.1 million at the end of December 2025.
