Tesla beats delivery forecasts with 480,126 vehicles delivered in second quarter (TSLA)

Deliveries outperform market expectations

Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) reported second-quarter 2026 vehicle deliveries of 480,126 units, comfortably exceeding analyst expectations of 406,024 vehicles.

The electric vehicle maker also produced 451,758 vehicles during the quarter, according to a company statement.

Model 3 and Model Y continue to dominate sales

The vast majority of Tesla’s deliveries came from its Model 3 and Model Y lineup.

The company delivered 467,762 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles while producing 442,936 units of the two models during the quarter.

Tesla’s remaining vehicle portfolio accounted for 12,364 deliveries and 8,822 vehicles produced over the same period.

The company noted that approximately 2% of total deliveries across both vehicle categories were accounted for under operating lease accounting.

Energy storage business continues to expand

Beyond its automotive operations, Tesla deployed 13.5 GWh of energy storage products during the second quarter, highlighting continued growth in its energy division alongside its vehicle business.
