Investor Presentation Highlights Commercial Progress
Seer, Inc. (NASDAQ:SEER) shares surged 30% on Monday after the proteomics company filed an investor presentation outlining its strategic achievements and growth opportunities ahead of its upcoming Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
The presentation was submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in advance of the shareholder meeting scheduled for 28 July 2026. Investors who held shares as of 29 May 2026 will be eligible to vote.
Company Points to Expanding Proteomics Opportunity
In its presentation, Seer highlighted the long-term potential of the proteomics market, which it estimates could represent a total addressable market of approximately $23 billion by 2034.
The company also reported that its installed customer base has expanded at a compound annual growth rate of 62% since 2021, supported by collaborations with leading mass spectrometry platform providers.
Cost Controls Strengthen Financial Position
Seer emphasized ongoing cost reduction efforts, noting that annual cash burn has declined by 36% since 2022.
The company has also reduced both selling, general and administrative expenses and research and development costs each year since 2023, while the number of cumulative peer-reviewed publications has doubled over the past 12 months to reach 84 since 2022.
Seer ended the period with approximately $220 million in cash and no outstanding debt.
Share Buyback and Board Contest Remain in Focus
The board has authorized a total share repurchase programme of $50 million, with approximately $25.5 million still available for future buybacks.
The company also reported that annualized stock-based compensation has fallen by around 75% since 2023 to an estimated run rate of $8.5 million in 2026.
The investor presentation comes as Seer faces a proxy contest ahead of its annual meeting. The board is encouraging shareholders to support its seven director nominees using the blue proxy card after rejecting proposals from Bradley Radoff and Michael Torok, who are seeking board representation.
