CACI Shares Advance After Securing Southern Border Counter-Drone Contract (CACI)

Stock Gains Following U.S. Border Security Award

CACI International Inc. (NYSE:CACI) shares rose 2% in premarket trading on Monday after the company announced it had been awarded a contract to deploy its SkyValor counter-drone system along the U.S. Southern Border.

The agreement supports a broader national security initiative aimed at strengthening protection against hostile unmanned aerial systems.

SkyValor Moves Into Full-Rate Production

The Department of War selected CACI to supply SkyValor, prompting the company to begin full-rate production of the platform to expand deployment of the technology.

Under the contract, CACI will provide SkyValor as a transportable counter-drone solution designed for rapid field deployment across operational environments.

System Designed to Detect and Neutralise Drone Threats

SkyValor integrates advanced sensing technology, automated defeat capabilities and counter-drone systems to identify, track and neutralise hostile unmanned aircraft, including drones that operate over cellular networks.

The company said the platform is intended to improve situational awareness while enabling faster and more accurate responses to evolving aerial threats.

CEO Highlights Growing Security Challenges

Commenting on the contract award, President and Chief Executive Officer John Mengucci said: “Drone threats are evolving quickly, and they are challenging the way we protect our forces, borders, and critical infrastructure.”

He added: “SkyValor gives defenders the advantage with earlier warning, faster decisions, and precise defeat of hostile drones with low-to-no collateral impact.”

Contract Supports Expanding Homeland Security Efforts

CACI said SkyValor has successfully completed operational evaluations and is ready for wider deployment.

The company, which employs approximately 27,000 people, develops technology solutions for defence and national security customers.

Financial details of the contract were not disclosed, but the award comes as governments continue to invest in advanced counter-drone capabilities to protect borders, military assets and critical infrastructure.
