Stock Moves Higher on New Travel Payments Feature
Expensify Inc. (NASDAQ:EXFY) shares climbed 3.5% in premarket trading on Monday after the company introduced a consolidated travel billing solution for business customers in the United States.
The new offering is designed to simplify how companies manage and pay for employee travel expenses.
Single Monthly Invoice Replaces Multiple Payments
The feature allows businesses to pay for flights, hotels, rental cars and rail bookings made through Expensify Travel using a single monthly invoice.
According to the company, the system removes the need to issue corporate credit cards to every employee or process individual reimbursement claims after travel.
Centralised Travel Spend Management
When employees book trips through Expensify Travel, eligible charges are automatically directed to the company’s central billing programme.
The platform enables organisations to oversee travel spending from one location while streamlining payment administration.
CFO Highlights Simpler Expense Control
Commenting on the launch, Chief Financial Officer Ryan Schaffer said: “Central billing cards have long been the default solution for companies that don’t want to distribute corporate cards to employees, but they often introduce new challenges around reconciliation, visibility, and administration.”
He added: “With consolidated travel billing, we’ve reimagined central billing for modern travel programs, giving companies the convenience of centralized payment with a much simpler management experience.”
Expanded Finance Tools Included
Expensify said the new service provides finance teams with consolidated visibility across company-wide travel spending, flexible settlement options linked to designated business bank accounts and detailed statements covering trips, travellers, merchants and booking information.
Users also receive access to a dedicated dashboard displaying spending activity, available credit, settlement preferences and downloadable account statements.
The launch further expands Expensify’s integrated travel platform, which combines booking services, expense management and corporate spending controls.
Consolidated travel billing is initially available to U.S. customers using Expensify Travel.
