Genasys Shares Gain After Securing $1.4 Million in International LRAD Orders

Genasys Inc. (NASDAQ:GNSS) shares rose 3% in premarket trading on Tuesday after the company disclosed approximately $1.4 million in orders for its Long Range Acoustic Devices across Asia-Pacific and European markets.

The orders were placed by customers in Australia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, Lithuania and Latvia. Genasys said the LRAD systems will support Navy, Coast Guard, Police and Security applications in those countries.

Regional Security Demand Supports LRAD Sales

The latest contracts include a combination of first-time and repeat purchases, according to Chief Executive Officer Richard Danforth.

“LRADs provide Navy, Coast Guard, and Police essential long-range communication and escalation of force resources to secure territorial waters, borders, islands, critical infrastructure, and public safety,” Danforth said. “Escalating regional tensions have many APAC countries investing in LRAD systems to enhance communication, safety, and security.”

Genasys said its international business continues to demonstrate strong momentum, with the company expecting that trend to extend into 2027.

LRAD Technology Targets Defence and Public Safety Markets

Genasys’ LRAD technology is designed to transmit clearly audible communications over distances of up to 5,000 metres and operate in demanding environmental conditions.

Its maritime systems can be deployed across a range of missions, including ship-to-ship communications, vessel exclusion zones, interception operations, search and rescue, port protection and anti-piracy activities.

The technology is also used more broadly by defence and public safety organisations that require reliable long-range communication capabilities in challenging or high-risk environments.

Genasys said public safety and defence agencies across more than 100 countries currently deploy its LRAD systems for security and communication purposes, giving the company an established international footprint as it pursues further growth.
