Sportradar shares gain after expanding Polymarket partnership

Sportradar Group AG (NASDAQ:SRAD) shares gained 6% on Thursday after the company announced a significant expansion of its partnership with Polymarket, extending the relationship to cover more than 20 sports leagues and competitions worldwide.

The expanded agreement adds a range of major sporting properties, including the Bundesliga, Euroleague Basketball, the Chinese Basketball Association, the National Basketball League, Tennis Grand Slams and UTR Pro events. Across soccer, basketball and tennis, the partnership will now encompass approximately 300,000 matches each year.

Sportradar broadens data and streaming services

Under the U.S. portion of the agreement, Sportradar will supply Polymarket with premium sports data alongside streaming and integrity services.

The arrangement builds on the companies’ existing relationship, which already includes coverage of the ATP Tour, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer and the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Sportradar’s offering to Polymarket includes premium sports data and live odds, as well as audiovisual content. The company holds exclusive streaming rights covering the ATP Tour, Bundesliga and Euroleague Basketball as part of the services provided.

Partnership includes integrity and engagement tools

Beyond sports data and streaming, Sportradar will provide a broader range of products designed to support Polymarket’s sports offering. These include fan engagement tools, marketing services and integrity monitoring.

Integrity services will be delivered through Sportradar UFDS AI and the Sportradar Integrity Exchange, extending the company’s technology and monitoring capabilities across the enlarged portfolio of sporting events.

“We are pleased to deepen our partnership with Polymarket extending our data and solutions across a significantly broader portfolio of sports,” commented Carsten Koerl, CEO of Sportradar. “Prediction markets represent a compelling adjacent growth opportunity and Sportradar is cementing its role as the foundational infrastructure powering this ecosystem.”

Companies plan further expansion

Sportradar and Polymarket expect to continue developing their relationship by adding further products, sporting properties and markets over time.

For Sportradar, the expanded agreement increases the reach of its data, streaming and integrity services within the prediction market sector, while giving Polymarket access to a considerably broader portfolio of global sporting content.

Polymarket operates as a CFTC-regulated designated contract market under the Commodity Exchange Act.
