Scorpio Gold Drilling Intersects 3.02 g/t Gold Over 48.92 Metres at Goldwedge

Scorpio Gold (NASDAQ:SGLD) reported new Goldwedge drilling results from its Manhattan District Project in Nevada, including 3.02 g/t gold over 48.92 metres and a separate 99.94-metre interval grading 1.19 g/t gold, adding evidence of both grade and mineralized scale within the target.

Key Investor Takeaways

  • Scorpio Gold (NASDAQ:SGLD) hole 26MN-115 returned 3.02 g/t gold over 48.92 metres from 118.87 metres, including a higher-grade interval of 19.29 g/t over 5.24 metres.
  • Hole 26MN-118 produced a broad 99.94-metre intersection grading 1.19 g/t gold from 98.61 metres, including 5.13 g/t over 4.16 metres.
  • Additional mineralization was encountered at the faulted contact between the Zanzibar Formation and Manhattan Caldera Volcanics, including 5.14 g/t gold over 10.15 metres.
  • Phase Two drilling has reached 114 holes and 32,585 metres, with assays now reported for 107 holes covering 30,889 metres.
  • Seven holes totalling 1,696 metres remain pending, providing additional near-term exploration results to watch.

Why SGLD Stock Is in Focus

Scorpio Gold’s latest Goldwedge drilling delivered a combination of broad mineralized intervals and higher-grade zones within its Manhattan District exploration program.

Hole 26MN-115 was the standout, intersecting 3.02 g/t gold over 48.92 metres from 118.87 metres within the Zanzibar Formation. That interval contained 19.29 g/t gold over 5.24 metres from 151.79 metres.

Deeper in the same hole, Scorpio Gold encountered 5.14 g/t gold over 10.15 metres from 173.58 metres at the faulted contact between the Zanzibar Formation and Manhattan Caldera Volcanics. A further interval returned 0.46 g/t over 16.70 metres within the volcanics.

Hole 26MN-118 added a substantially wider mineralized interval, returning 1.19 g/t gold over 99.94 metres from 98.61 metres. That included 5.13 g/t over 4.16 metres within the Zanzibar Formation.

Along the Zanzibar Trend, hole 26MN-116 intersected 0.93 g/t gold over 22.16 metres, including 3.72 g/t over 3.75 metres, as well as 0.84 g/t over 25.05 metres containing 3.63 g/t over 3.47 metres.

Why This Matters for Investors

The latest Goldwedge drilling matters because Scorpio Gold is identifying higher-grade intervals within substantially broader zones of gold mineralization.

Management believes the results support a geological model in which high-grade feeder zones occur within a larger bulk-tonnage mineralized envelope. Continued drilling is also improving the company’s understanding of mineralization associated with the Reliance Fault and the relationship between the Zanzibar sediments and Caldera volcanics.

That structural understanding could become increasingly important as Scorpio Gold determines where to target subsequent drilling. Rather than individual high-grade intersections alone, the ability to establish continuity and define the geometry of mineralization will be central to assessing the broader potential of Goldwedge.

CEO Zayn Kalyan also identified a potential underground startup as a possible nearer-term route toward production based on the grades encountered. That remains a potential development pathway rather than an established production plan, but it introduces another strategic consideration alongside the company’s wider district-scale exploration strategy.

The Manhattan District spans approximately 4,780 hectares and includes the advanced exploration-stage Goldwedge Mine and four past-producing pits. Scorpio Gold said the property has more than 140,000 metres of historical drilling, providing an existing exploration dataset alongside its current program.

What to Watch Next

Seven Phase Two holes, representing another 1,696 metres of drilling, are awaiting assay results and will provide the next immediate exploration catalysts.

Beyond those assays, investors can watch whether subsequent drilling confirms continuity of the higher-grade zones, extends mineralization along the Reliance Fault and further defines the broader Goldwedge mineralized envelope.

Progress toward determining whether an underground development approach is viable will also be important as Scorpio Gold evaluates how the latest drilling fits into the wider Manhattan District opportunity.
