A transaction could result in Waystar becoming privately held approximately two years after the company completed its initial public offering in 2024.

EQT Holds Largest Stake in Waystar
Buyout firm EQT is Waystar’s largest shareholder, with a stake of approximately 13%, according to LSEG data.
Canada Pension Plan Investment Board owns about 10% of the company, while BlackRock (NYSE:BLK) holds approximately 8%.
Waystar provides software used by healthcare organisations for areas including payments and revenue-cycle management.
