DoorDash (NASDAQ:DASH) and Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ:COST) have expanded their partnership to include all Costco warehouse locations in the United States, allowing members to order products for same-day delivery through the DoorDash app.
The nationwide rollout gives Costco members access to more than 4,000 products from their local warehouse, including groceries, household essentials, electronics, seasonal merchandise and Kirkland Signature items.
To place an order, customers must open the DoorDash app, select their local Costco warehouse and link an active Costco membership.
Consumers who do not already hold a membership can purchase one through Costco.com before connecting their account to DoorDash.
US Launch Extends Existing International Partnership
The expansion builds on an existing relationship between DoorDash and Costco covering Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland and Puerto Rico.
Mike Goldblatt, Vice President of Enterprise Partnerships at DoorDash, said the arrangement would provide Costco members with additional shopping options.
“By pairing Costco’s quality, value and selection with DoorDash’s reach and local delivery network, we’re giving members more flexibility in how they shop,” Goldblatt said.
The US rollout extends DoorDash’s same-day delivery offering to Costco’s nationwide warehouse network, adding another major retailer to its marketplace.
DoorDash Expands Its Grocery Retail Partnerships
Following the addition of Costco, DoorDash said it now partners with eight of the 10 largest food retailers in North America, based on Progressive Grocer’s PG 100 ranking.
The agreement broadens DoorDash’s retail delivery network while giving Costco members another way to access the warehouse retailer’s products without visiting a physical location.
The service is available through the DoorDash app and requires customers to link an active Costco membership before completing an order.
