Nokia (NYSE:NOK) said Zain KSA has deployed its Deepfield Cloud Intelligence platform across the telecom operator’s network, covering more than 100 cities in Saudi Arabia.
The deployment provides Zain KSA with real-time, end-to-end visibility across its network and is intended to support troubleshooting, service assurance and network optimisation, according to Nokia.
The platform combines global internet data with network telemetry to provide information that can be used to identify and address network performance issues.
Platform Uses AI and Machine Learning Rules
The deployment includes Nokia’s Deepfield Cloud Genome, which the company describes as a continuously updated map of internet applications and services.
According to Nokia, the technology categorises applications and services across more than 30 categories using over 100 artificial intelligence and machine learning rules.
The platform is based on a cloud-native architecture and is designed to generate structured data for analytics and digital services.
Zain KSA Targets Network Performance Monitoring
Sultan Mohammad Alsabhan, Vice President of Technology Operations at Zain KSA, said the integration provides “deeper, real-time visibility into traffic patterns and enables more precise performance optimization across critical applications and services.”
According to the announcement, Zain KSA can use the platform to monitor over-the-top and cloud services and identify network congestion or latency issues before they affect customers.
The technology is also intended to support monitoring and optimisation of services including video streaming and cloud gaming.
Nokia Highlights Software-Based Network Management
Mikko Lavanti, President of Nokia Middle East and Africa and Managing Director of Nokia’s Regional Headquarters in Saudi Arabia, said the deployment “equips Zain KSA with the insights needed to improve service quality, optimize network investments, and accelerate its evolution toward a software-driven, AI-ready network.”
