Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) said it is lowering prices on nearly 2,000 home and apparel products ahead of the holiday shopping season, adding to more than 10,000 price reductions implemented by the retailer over the past year.
The latest reductions, announced on September 29, 2026, cover women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and footwear, as well as bedding products.
Target said selected apparel products are now priced at least 20% below comparable levels from last year.
Target Reduces Clothing and Footwear Prices
Women’s long-sleeve T-shirts have been reduced to $12 from $15, while the average price of women’s footwear has declined to $35 from $40.
Target said nearly 70% of its new women’s footwear styles are priced below comparable products from last year.
The average price of children’s rain and winter boots has also fallen by approximately 15% compared with last year’s levels.
“By continuing to lower prices across our assortment, we’re making it even easier for busy families to create moments of joy this fall,” said Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Target.
Bedding Prices Fall by Average of 15%
Target said prices across its refreshed bedding assortment are an average of 15% lower.
Threshold queen comforters have been reduced to $69 from $89, while Room Essentials queen comforters are priced at $40, down from $50.
Threshold performance queen sheets have been reduced to $50 from $55.
The company did not provide an estimate of the expected financial impact of the price reductions in the supplied material.
Circle Deal Days Scheduled for October
Target also said its Circle Deal Days promotional event will take place on October 6 and 7 for members of its free Target Circle loyalty programme.
The latest price reductions do not apply in Alaska or Hawaii, and product availability may vary by location.
