Consumer Confidence, Home Sales and Oil Inventories Reports Due

The Conference Board is scheduled to release its report on consumer confidence in the month of December at 10 am ET. The consumer confidence index is expected to rise to 103.4 in December after climbing to 102.0 in November.

Also at 10 am ET, the National Association of Realtors is due to release its report on existing home sales in the month of November. Existing home sales are expected to dip to an annual rate of 3.77 million in November after slumping to a rate of 3.79 million in October.

The Energy Information Administration is due to release its report on oil inventories in the week ended December 15th at 10:30 am ET.

Crude oil inventories are expected to decrease by 2.2 million barrels after tumbling by 4.3 million barrels in the previous week.

At 1 pm ET, the Treasury Department is scheduled to announce the results of this month’s auction of $13 billion worth of twenty-year bonds.
